Who we help
Macquarie Health Collective is a unique and innovative service within the Central West Region. Our “collective” work together to provide specialised assessments and interventions for a wide variety of physical and mental health concerns that present across the lifespan.
Our clinic specialises in comprehensive developmental assessments provided by our Psychologists, Speech Pathologists, and Occupational Therapists. For paediatric populations, our Speech Pathologist provides specialised interventions to assist with speech and language development, while our Occupational Therapist develops individualised treatment plans to support fine and gross motor skills, and sensory development. Our providers also have expert knowledge and skills in working with both feeding and toileting concerns. Our Psychologists have extensive experience in working with children and adolescents with a variety of physical and mental health care needs. Our Psychologists work with presentations including anxiety, depression, adjustment disorders, behavioural issues, management of chronic health conditions, trauma, school refusal, self-esteem, and self-harm. Our Psychologists are also trained in play therapy techniques, to better support our younger clients.
Macquarie Health Collective supports adults in improving their overall quality of life. Our Dietitians and Exercise Physiologist assist individuals in achieving their own personal health goals, as well as in recovering from illness or injury. Our Psychologists support our Dietitians and Exercise Physiologist in the management of physical wellbeing. Our providers are experts in supporting clients with food, weight, and body image related concerns. Our Psychologists also provide comprehensive assessments and interventions for a variety of mental health conditions that may present in adulthood, including depression and other mood disorders, anxiety, adjustment disorders, personality disorders, loss and grief, and other major mental health conditions.
For older adults, our Dietitians and Exercise Physiologist are skilled in providing advice and strategies to support changing physical needs. Our Occupational Therapist complements these strategies with recommendations and modifications to ensure people can continue to enjoy their activities of daily living, no matter their physical concerns. Our Psychologists can support older adults in adjusting to changes they are facing, such as retirement, loss, or illness, as well as helping to improve overall quality of life.
