Teachers at the Collective
Why we have teachers at the Collective.
At Macquarie Health Collective, we know that helping a child thrive takes more than one perspective. That’s why we’ve included experienced teachers in our team—so we can bring education and health together in one place.
Our teachers don’t just work with children—they collaborate with parents, schools, and health professionals to provide a full-circle view of a child’s needs. By bridging the gap between learning and wellbeing, they help create consistent strategies across home, school, and therapy settings.
Our teachers work with a broad range of concerns, however some examples include:
Translating therapy goals into real-world classroom strategies
Supporting children with learning, attention, or behaviour concerns
Working with schools to strengthen communication and collaboration
Supporting children facing social difficulties at school
Helping parents understand how their child learns and how to support them at home
Providing tailored advice on transitions, school readiness, and learning supports
Supporting children experiencing school refusal
Our teachers work individually with children or families in our clinic, as well as provide education and support to schools. We know how busy teachers and schools are, and so our teachers work to function as an extra set of hands at school or in the classroom, helping to set up programs and strategies for students. They can even run the program for those schools who are feeling a little extra stretched!
Together, we’re creating stronger connections between the places children grow—so they can thrive in every environment.
