Dr Rebecca Criss - General Practitioner

Rebecca has lived in Dubbo since 2008 with her husband and four children. Rebecca initially studied a Bachelor of Pharmacy at the University of Sydney, and worked in Sydney as pharmacist for two years. Rebecca then moved to Brisbane to study medicine at the University of Queensland. She completed her hospital training in Queensland before moving to Dubbo. Rebecca worked for Dubbo Base Hospital Emergency Department for a year before commencing her career in General Practice.

Rebecca’s interests are varied, and include shared antenatal care, child and adolescent health, women’s health (including contraception, Implanon insertion and removal, and menopause), chronic disease management, mental health, aged care (including in the community and in aged care facilities), and preventative health checks (such as cervical screening, skin checks, and health assessments).

Rebecca teaches at the University of Sydney’s School of Rural Health. She is also an examiner for the RACGP exams.
